How Do You Know Which Plan Is Best for You?

  • If you are under the age of 60 and you want coverage for yourself with or without your family (spouse and children), you should consider REGULAR / FAMILY MEMBERSHIP.

  • If you are over the age of 60 and do not already have ownership rights to a grave, reserved or designated, in your name, then you should consider LIFE MEMBERSHIP.

  • If you are over the age of 60 and already have ownership rights to a grave reserved or designated in your name, then you should consider SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP.

Anyone can enroll another person as a member.

CALL US FIRST

Remember that member families have been known to

Save Thousands of Dollars

at the time of a funeral.

However, many of the Participating Funeral Directors, as an additional benefit, also reduce their basic price for their professional services as well as for the use of their building should the family choose to have a funeral home service.

This "Society Allowance" adds to the savings of the Funeral Home Charges on a funeral bill, creating additional savings for you and your family.

These directors, at their funeral homes, will provide the benefits to our families without additional charges for these benefit items (the hearse, the plain traditional coffin, the Tahara, and the shroud).

Other funeral directors will charge the family retail charges for the benefits.

Should a family choose to engage a funeral director who does not participate with our organization, the United Hebrew Community of New York will pay the family’s funeral director or the family directly the exact amount it pays to its participating directors.

In ALL cases, this will NOT cover the total cost of these items charged to the family by their own funeral director.
